On this solemn day of remembrance, New Yorkers reflect upon the terrorist attacks that occurred 14 years ago that killed thousands and destroyed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.

On this morning of Sept. 11, 2015, newly built 1 World Trade Center stands tall as relatives of the dead and survivors of the cruel carnage gather at the 9/11 Memorial to read the names of the lost. Various other commemoratives are planned for Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
