150 people evacuated Thursday night, 3 injured
Three people were injured after a train derailment Thursday night just south of the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station on the G line.
Roughly 150 passengers were safely evacuated, according to the Associated Press, and the FDNY says that two adults and a child were taken to Brooklyn Hospital, according to NBC New York.
“I am thankful that all train riders were evacuated safely and only minor injuries were reported,” said Councilmember Stephen Levin. “We owe our first responders at the NYPD and FDNY a debt of gratitude for their swift action to secure the scene and get those on board to safety. I look forward to an examination of what caused last night’s events so that we can work toward preventing future incidents.”
