Alicia Keys is helping to give Brooklyn students the “keys” to success…as in musical keys.

The music superstar donated money to help Edward R. Murrow High School launch a new music technology program and then showed up at the school on Friday to sing with students.

Her appearance came as a surprise to most of the students.

It was all part of a special show that took place at the school, at 1600 Avenue L in Midwood, to announce “Music x Technology,” a program in music, sound and audio technology that will become available to students starting in February.

“Music x Technology” is made possible by donations from Keys and Levi’s, according to school officials.

Friday’s show, which was free and was open to Murrow’s students and staff, contained many memorable moments, including performances by Keys, Unlocking the Truth, Cipha Sounds and Murrow students.

More than 800 people packed into the auditorium, according to teacher Lisa Willner.

Keys, a Grammy Award-winning artist famous for such tunes as “Fallin,” “No One” and “Girl on Fire,” performed with the Murrow Gospel Choir.

The “Music x Technology” program will introduce students to sound engineering, audio-visual production and post-production, mastering and songwriting. Students will study in state-of-the-art facilities including a new studio, isolated recording booths and mobile recording carts.

“This new program is an incredible opportunity for our students,” Principal Allen Barge said in a statement. “Thanks to the support of Levi’s and Alicia Keys, our students will have access to endless resources to grow as musicians. The Music x Technology program will increase engagement for all students, including those with special needs.”
