Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus holds open auditions for 60th year
The Brooklyn Philharmonia Chorus, the borough’s oldest community chorus, is looking for new singers. The chorus is holding open auditions for its 60th year on Oct. 6 and Oct. 13 at First Presbyterian Church, 124 Henry St. in Brooklyn Heights.
“We welcome anyone who has an interest in singing the Great Composers, and more, in joining us,” said Choral Director Doug March.
The chorus rehearses on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 10 p.m. (with a 15-minute refreshment break).
The program for the winter concert will include Bach’s “Magnificat,” “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s “Messiah,” Mozart’s “Laudate Dominum” and holiday songs.
