Brooklyn Public Library raffles free tickets to sold-out Toni Morrison event
Nobel Laureate Author Will Read from Latest Novel
It’s still possible to hear Nobel Laureate author and poet Toni Morrison read from her latest fiery novel “God Help the Child,” despite the sold-out status of the Feb. 2 event in Park Slope.
That’s because the Brooklyn Public Library is raffling off a limited number of free tickets to BPL card holders.
A Nobel Laureate, Pulitzer Award winner and Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree, Morrison will read from her latest book at Congregation Beth Elohim (CBE). This event, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is part of the “Brooklyn by the Book” series, a literary series presented in partnership with Brooklyn Public Library, CBE and Community Bookstore.
