It’s not until the parades have ended and the last pieces of candy have been passed out that the true fun begins in Brooklyn on Halloween.

And with the holiday not until Monday, Brooklynites will have four days to dress up and celebrate. With so many events to choose from at bars, clubs and other venues, it can be hard to sift through an oversaturated schedule of festivities.

The Brooklyn Eagle has therefore selected the borough’s top events for this weekend. Costumes are encouraged and are mandatory to enter some of these parties, so plan accordingly.

HYTE Brooklyn

140 53rd St., Sunset Park

The global event series HYTE, which routinely hosts the world’s top DJs in places like Amsterdam, Beirut, Berlin, Croatia, Ibiza and Italy, touches down in Brooklyn this weekend for a two-day festival in Sunset Park. The party will take place in an abandoned warehouse, and its lineup features some heavy hitters, including Chris Liebing, Paco Osuna, Drumcell and Ace Alvarez.  Saturday showcases German DJ Loco Dice, amongst others.

BangOn!NYC has established itself as a staple of the Brooklyn music scene, having thrown many legendary parties. The event production company prides itself on not only bringing in a stellar lineup of DJs and artists, but also on creating an immersive, interactive and innovative experience for its guests, and that’s exactly what they have in store for Halloween.

Warehouse of Horrors will be in the same building where BangOn!NYC hosted its New Year’s Day event this past year, and it will boast two stages aptly named the Boneyard Stage and the Horror House Stage. As for the lineup, gracing the turntables will be Big Wild, OTT, J.Phlip, Ardalan and Will Clarke, among many others.

Output

74 Wythe Ave., Williamsburg

All roads lead to Output this Sunday for a Halloween marathon. The enigmatic nightclub that made its home on the corners of Wythe and North 12th just three years ago has slowly but surely set the standard for the local nightlife industry.

The Berlin-like adult playground will be bringing local talents Bedouin and Nicolas Matar for its Mischief Day Ball during the day. Later that night, Soul Clap will be closing out the weekend with their eagerly anticipated album release party. Distinguished vocalist Nona Hendryx will also be joining the fun.

Monday, Oct. 31

Music Hall of Williamsburg

66 N. Sixth St., Williamsburg

French-Canadian DJ and producer Tiga will be debuting his live set at the iconic Music Hall of Williamsburg. Attendees will be treated to a different side of the normally dark techno musician. The show starts at 9 p.m., so don’t worry about staying out too late on a work night.
