Kings Plaza Macy’s event raises $13,000 for March of Dimes
Two Brooklyn Macy’s stores that took part in a recent “Shop for a Cause” fundraiser for the March of Dimes had extraordinary success, according to a March of Dimes leader.
John Quaglione of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn committee co-chair of the March of Dimes New York, said a weekend fundraising partnership between Macy’s and the March of Dimes that took place on Aug. 26, 27 and 28 raised more than $20,000 in Brooklyn alone.
The Macy’s Kings Plaza store raised over $13,000 and the Macy’s store on Fulton Street collected more than $7,000 in donations, Quaglione said.
