Indie rocker Aaron Dessner sold his Victorian Flatbush house
Eye on Real Estate
I keep coming back here where everything slipped/ But I will not spill my guts out.
That’s a refrain from “Slipped,” a song by the National, an indie rock band that for several years recorded its music in a studio in Victorian Flatbush.
The studio was set up in band member Aaron Dessner’s garage at his house on 236 Stratford Road.
Now the music makers have moved away.
Earlier this year, Dessner sold the beautifully renovated shingle house, and the garage too, of course.
He had been asking $2.35 million for the property, as we previously reported. Brooklyn Hearth Realty was the listing broker.
