SKETCHES OF COURT: Plaintiff in auto accident awarded 100K in summary jury trial
In this courtroom sketch, Hon. Wavny Toussaint oversees the summary jury motor vehicle accident trial Campbell-Reid v. Baraka, et al.
Latoya Campbell-Reid was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident in November 2011 while traveling along Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay. Campbell-Reid alleged that there was a heavy impact in the collision with a car that made a U-turn, and claimed that she sustained serious injuries after hurting her neck and back against the seat and her knee on the dashboard. She claimed two disc bulges and a ruptured herniated disc. Campbell-Reid was represented by Hiram Raldiris (at left) of the law offices of Eric H. Green.
The jury at left is examining evidentiary packets provided by defendant’s attorney Debra Dash (standing) of the law offices of Karen Lawrence on behalf of her client Rochelle Baraka. Baraka was looking for parking just before she made the U-turn.
