Eighteen members of the junior class at Fontbonne Hall Academy got the opportunity of a lifetime when they traveled to Italy and immersed themselves in Italian culture during the school’s recent winter break.

Accompanied by faculty members Francine Fuerst, Nicole Marinello and Dawn Duggan, the students toured Rome, Florence and Venice. In addition, the group visited Assisi.

Among the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Vatican, where they walked through the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica. The girls also enjoyed an extensive tour of the Vatican Museums.
