The New York State Supreme Court, Second Judicial Department named junior court analyst Shauntina “Tina” Jones its Employee of the Year during a special celebration at the court on Tuesday, March 22.

Jones has worked at the courthouse since 2004 when she started as a court aide, where she worked her way up the ladder to junior court analyst. Most people, though, simply refer to her as the “middle woman” who coordinates with the non-judicial staff and the administration.

“Tina handles a variety of responsibilities, including creating and displaying all of the signage in the building, as well as managing the various contractors and vendors used in 360 Adams St.,” said a statement issued by the Employee of the Year Selection Committee.

Jones started her career at Pitney Bowes Management as a supervisor in the mailroom, fax department and copy center before she put her skills to work in the Brooklyn court system.

“Tina is a dedicated and reliable employee who is not afraid of hard work,” the statement read. “She is conscientious and is a people person. Everyone who comes into contact with her on a daily basis can attest to her good nature. Tina is happily married to Kenneth Jones and they are the proud parents of one son, Keeshawn.”
