A small parkhouse in Cadman Plaza Park, at the corner of Tillary Street and Cadman Plaza West, could soon be the site of a café, according to the city.

Phil Abramson, revenue communications director with the Parks Department, will present the agency’s “intent to issue a significant Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development, operation and maintenance of a café at Cadman Plaza Park,” according to a release from Community Board 2.

The small, boxlike structure was formerly used as a park office. The city’s Franchise and Concessions Plan describes the proposal as a snack bar.

The café is planned in addition to another concession proposed for the north side of the War Memorial Building, part of the Brooklyn Strand plan.

An earlier RFP, which drew no responses, was issued for another parkhouse closer to the federal courthouses.

CB2’s Parks and Recreation Committee will discuss the planned RFP on Monday, April 18 at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, First Floor Dining Room, 121 DeKalb Avenue at St. Felix Street, in Fort Greene.
