Hark! That’s 286 Ashland Place Shining Bright Like A Diamond (to paraphrase Rihanna’s lyric) in the spring sunshine.

Workers who’ve been installing the distinctive aluminum composite façade on this rental-apartment tower recently reached the top of the building.

Two Trees Management, the Walentas family’s firm, is making rapid progress on the construction of the Brooklyn Cultural District tower designed by star architect Enrique Norten.

It will house cultural facilities on its lower floors.

The glam, gleaming tower has an iconic neighbor, the Williamsburgh Savings Bank.

Until recent years, the bank was Brooklyn’s tallest building. That distinction no longer belongs to the clock-topped tower at 1 Hanson Place. But many people think the Art Deco landmark is the borough’s most beautiful building.

Before you know it, the stunning bank building, which is now a condo tower, and 286 Ashland Place will be sharing the skyline with an eye-popping edifice.

JDS Development and the Chetrit Group will start sometime this year on the construction of a 1,066-foot skyscraper at 340 Flatbush Ave. Extension. It will be situated alongside landmarked Dime Savings Bank.
