b.good: Fresh fast-food on Montague Street
Fresh fast-food could be the theme of a new restaurant that is helping Montague Street stay healthy. b.good, a name that conjures, well, “good,” while having a modern web-era reference (if you pronounce it ” be-dot-good”), offers fresh food that is served quickly. Yes, there is still a negative connotation to “fast-food,” but thanks to owners Anthony Ackil and Jon Olinto, b.good has dedicated itself to making fast-food real by making it the way it should be … by people, not by factories.
Their tasty yet healthy menu includes everything from a wide variety of
kale and grain bowls and seasonal salads to signature burgers and sandwiches. Unlike typical fast-food, their burgers are local, all-natural and house-ground.
b.good opened its first restaurant in Boston in 2004. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and customers can order online. There are 38 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and two in Switzerland. b.good also plans to open six more stores in New York, with one planned for Park Slope.
