ITALY — Migrants Rescued After Ship Flipped: Migrants wait to disembark from the Navy ship Bettica as it arrives at the Sicilian Porto Empedocle harbor on Thursday. A statement from the country’s Navy on Wednesday said the Bettica patrol ship was responding to a migrant ship in distress when it flipped, sending migrants into the sea. Crews tossed life jackets to the migrants and brought some 500 to safety.
