Charming rows of old homes mingle with stately apartment houses in the section of Crown Heights South that neighborhood preservationists would like to see landmarked first.
The Crown Heights South Association is focusing first on promoting the area bounded by Washington Avenue, Empire Boulevard, Nostrand Avenue and Eastern Parkway for historic district designation by the city Landmarks Preservation Commission.
