Members of the Gay/Straight Alliance of the New York State Justice System marched with the Gay Officers Action League (GOAL) during New York City’s LGBT Pride March on Sunday.

Bill Shepard made the arrangements for the Alliance to march alongside GOAL. Marc Levine, the alliance’s president, rode in a police bus due to a fractured food. He called the entire event, “deeply moving.”

“From the bus window I watched all the wonderful people,” Levine said. “Many had signs for Orlando. All were so excited to be supporting LGBT people and equality. So many of every background, straight people with families, all so lovely! I did my best to wave at everyone from the bus window. It was so nice as they waved back, happy to be connecting with the marchers.”
