Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue — a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue composed of a network of fosters and volunteers — is celebrating its fifth birthday by hosting its second annual Badass Bash on Tuesday, June 14 at Littlefield Art Space (620 Degraw St. in Gowanus).

The event marks Badass’ biggest fundraiser of the year, and proceeds will help the Badass team in its mission to rescue dogs from high kill rural shelters in southern U.S. states and get them adopted into safe and loving permanent homes.

Honorees this year are the legacy of Poh the Dog and his human caretakers Neil and Yuko, who have started Live Like Poh, a fund to assist people with their older dogs’ medical needs. The event’s honorary co-chairs are Vincent D’Onofrio and Carin van der Donk, and the celebration will be catered by renowned chef Dale Talde, with local treats from 4 & 20 Blackbirds and Fat Witch. In addition to food and cocktails, the party will feature a live auction, a raffle, comedy, music, film and dancing.
