Greetings, Brooklyn. Today is the 193rd day of the year.

ON THIS DAY IN 1926, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Prince Here Today to View Museum’s Swedish Art Works.”

The article focused on the crown prince and princess of Sweden visiting Brooklyn with their family.

“The future Swedish king was drawn to this boro by the Brooklyn Museum, which has a section devoted to Swedish…art the only one of its kind in the country,” the Eagle reported. “Archeologist and student of art, as he is, the prince could not remain away from our display of the art of Sweden.”
