Brooklyn courts’ summer Internship Program comes to an end
The best of the students from the Kings County Courts Student Employment and Internship Program were honored with awards for their excellent efforts as student-interns during the annual awards ceremony, which was held at the Supreme Court on Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
“This has been one of the best group of interns that I have seen come through this building,” Justice Matthew D’Emic remarked. “People have noticed because there are good reports about all of you circulating around this building.”
D’Emic, Hon. Deborah Dowling, Chief Clerk Daniel Alessandrino, Chief Clerk Charles Small, Chief Michael Magliano, Capt. Michael Losi and Matthew Walker were on hand to honor the students.
“The awards ceremony was absolutely fantastic,” said Charmaine Johnson, who ran the summer internship program. “The kids looks so happy and proud to be finished with their journey. I think they learned a lot and I hope they had fun.”
