New York City Restaurant Week may be over, but Brooklynites have another opportunity to try the borough’s finest restaurants this weekend at TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint (Taste WG).

Taste WG is an annual outdoor celebration showcasing North Brooklyn’s best food and drink. This year’s gathering will take place on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the 11-acre East River State Park in Williamsburg.

Entering its seventh year, this block party-like event will have nourishment from more than 40 of North Brooklyn’s best restaurants, bars, breweries and wineries.

Notable establishments participating include Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Winery, Freehold Brooklyn, Brooklyn Cupcake and Anella.

Williamsburg’s Maison Premiere, which is known for its $1 happy hour oysters, will also be attending.

In addition to eating delicious grub, attendees will be treated to live music and a DJ.

And in the Family-Friendly Programing tent, there will be a special guest appearance from Tim Kubart, who in 2016 won the Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album for his album “Home.”

Ahead of Sunday, Event Director Dana Krieger spoke with the Brooklyn Eagle about what she is most excited about.

“Besides the food?” asked Krieger. “The whole community comes together to help produce this event. We have restaurants that have been participating in this event from Annela [to] Pies and Thighs. But we have Harvey, Hail Mary, and MID|NIGHTS — all new places to the neighborhood [as well].

“But again, the fact that you can come to this festival for the food but leave learning about what a great cause we are supporting — and what a great community Williamsburg/Greenpoint is — is what is my takeaway from this event.”

Tickets range from $35 to $100. For $35, attendees can try four dishes and two drinks. For $60, guests can try eight dishes and four drinks. Or, for $100, patrons can try 12 dishes and six drinks.

Funds from the event will go toward renovating the former Engine Co. 212 Firehouse, which will be restored and used as a meeting hall for community groups in North Brooklyn.
