Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez has decided to shake up the office and on Friday he announced that he hired one new person and appointed three others to new positions to take on key leadership roles.

Timothy Gough was promoted as the new Homicide Bureau chief, former assistant district attorney Danielle Eaddy was hired to lead one of the trial bureaus and prosecutors Kin Ng and Robert Walsh have been promoted to head two other trial bureaus.

“The promotions and appointment of these extremely accomplished prosecutors will make our office even better and stronger,” acting DA Eric Gonzalez said. “They are a highly qualified and uniquely diverse group of attorneys who have a long track record of supervisory experience and courtroom expertise. Together with the rest of our staff, they will ensure that the DA’s Office continues to work professionally and efficiently and remains committed in its pursuit of justice and fairness for the people of Brooklyn.”

Gough, who most recently worked as the bureau chief of the Grey Zone Trial Bureau, one of five trial bureaus, will replace the current Homicide Bureau Chief Kenneth Taub, who is retiring next month after serving in the DA’s Office for 36 years — 28 of those years were spent in the Homicide Bureau.

Eaddy, who is a distinguished defense attorney and director of the Kings County Criminal Bar Association, will replace Gough as the Grey Zone Bureau Chief. Prior to becoming a defense attorney, she served the DA’s Office from 1994 until 2006.

Ng will head the Red Zone Trial Bureau. He has been a prosecutor with the DA’s Office since 1991 and was most recently chief of the Immigrant Fraud Unit. He replaces Joseph Alexis, who was promoted to chief of the Trial Division in December 2016.

Walsh, a prosecutor since 1991, replaces Frances Weiner as the head of the Blue Zone Trail Bureau. He was most recently the felony deputy bureau chief. Weiner is set to become director of legal training.

Numerous other assistant district attorneys have been promoted to deputy chiefs and other supervisory positions, including Grace Jeannie Lopez to deputy bureau chief of the Red Hook Community Justice Center Bureau; Nada Abdelhadi to deputy bureau chief of the Early Case Assessment Bureau; Kevin C. Aulbach to deputy chief of the Crime Strategy Unit; and José Interiano to deputy chief of the Immigrant Fraud Unit.

Other promotions within the office include ADA Grace Jeannie Lopez to deputy bureau chief of the Red Hook Community Justice Center Bureau; Nada Abdelhadi to deputy bureau chief of the Early Case Assessment Bureau; Kevin C.
