CALIFORNIA – Battling a Wildfire: Firefighters battle a wildfire as it threatens to jump a street near Oroville, Calif., on Saturday. Evening winds drove the fire through several neighborhoods leveling homes in its path. 

INDIA – Basking in a Catch: A common kingfisher sits on a branch of a tree after catching an insect in Allahabad, India, Sunday. The common kingfisher is a highly territorial bird that has to eat nearly sixty percent of its bodyweight every day. 

FRANCE – Passing Through a Tunnel: The pack passes through a tunnel during the ninth stage of the Tour de France cycling race over 181.5 kilometers (112.8 miles) with start in Nantua and finish in Chambery, France, Sunday. Mori’s injury forced him to abandon the race.

TURKEY – Gathering under the Flag: Supporters of Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party, hold a huge Turkish flag as they gather for a rally following their 425-kilometer (265-mile) ‘March for Justice’ in Istanbul, Sunday. Kilicdaroglu along with thousands of supporters walked from the capital Ankara to an Istanbul prison, began to denounce the imprisonment of a party lawmaker but has grown into a wider protest of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s policies and the large-scale government crackdown on opponents in the wake of July 2016’s failed coup attempt.
