Kings County Criminal Bar Association raises money for charity at inaugural golf outing
The Kings County Criminal Bar Association (KCCBA) hosted its inaugural golf outing at the Marine Park Golf Course in Brooklyn on Thursday. The event, which the group plans to host annually, helped raise money for various charitable organizations that the KCCBA supports.
“It’s great to bring everyone together,” said KCCBA President Michael Cibella. “This is a great group that consists of everyone from defense attorneys to prosecutors, court officers, clerks and judges. We’re putting our money where our mouth is and we’re raising money for people within the criminal justice system.”
About 60 people showed up to play despite temperatures that exceeded 90 degrees. The money raised was donated to the YWCA Brooklyn, and Families Rising, which is part of the New York Foundling. A portion of the money also went toward KCCBA’s scholarship, which will be given out for the first time in September.
