TURKEY – One Year Failed Coup Anniversary: People participate in a ceremony to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the failed coup attempt last year at Turkey’s Parliament in Ankara, Turkey, early Sunday. Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with a series of events honoring some 250 people, who were killed across Turkey while trying to oppose coup-plotters.

NEW YORK – Police Funeral: Several thousand law enforcement officers from across the U.S. and Canada attend the funeral for New York State Trooper, Joel Davis, at the Magrath Sports Complex at Fort Drum, N.Y., Saturday. Davis was fatally shot July 9 while responding to reports of gunfire on a couple’s property in the town of Theresa, N.Y.
