SWITZERLAND: Walking in the Mountains: People walk on the “Europabruecke”, that is supposed to be the world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge with a length of 494m, after the official inauguration of the construction in Randa, Switzerland, on Saturday. The bridge is situated on the Europaweg that connects the villages of Zermatt and Graechen.

BRAZIL – Man Protests Eviction: A man yells at police protesting his eviction and that of other people living in shacks beneath an overpass, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Saturday. Around one hundred families were evicted from the area Saturday morning as part of the plan by Sao Paulo’s Mayor Joao Doria to revitalize downtown. 

GREENLAND – Stepping on Land: Researcher Daria Gritsenko steps onto land for the first time since setting sail aboard the Finnish icebreaker MSV Nordica as it arrives into Nuuk, Greenland, after traversing the Northwest Passage through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, Saturday. After 24 days at sea and a journey spanning more than 10,000 kilometers (6,214 miles), the MSV Nordica has set a new record for the earliest transit of the fabled Northwest Passage. The once-forbidding route through the Arctic, linking the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans, has been opening up sooner and for a longer period each summer due to climate change. 

SOUTH AFRICA – Stampede Victims: Officials prepare to remove the bodies of two people killed when fans at a soccer match tried to push through the gates at the FNB Stadium causing a stampede in the Soweto area of Johannesburg Saturday. One person was critically injured with others suffering minor injuries, stadium management said in a statement.
