SOUTH KOREA — City Issues Heat Wave Warning: A boy cools off in a public water fountain in Seoul on Tuesday. A heat wave warning was issued in the city as temperatures soared above 91 degrees.

KASHMIR — Citizens Demand End to Indian Rule: Kashmiri women shout pro-Pakistani and pro-freedom slogans during the funeral procession of senior militant Arif Nabi Dar in Lilhar on Tuesday. Large anti-India protests and clashes spearheaded mostly by students erupted in the disputed area after government forces killed two senior militants in a gun battle and fatally shot a protester during an ensuing demonstration demanding an end to Indian rule.

ITALY — Cooling Off: A man wearing an umbrella hat with the colors of the Italian flag takes an outdoor shower in Florence on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to reach 95-104 degrees in central and south Italy, according to weather reports.

BOSNIA – Diving with Torches: A Bosnian jumper, launches himself while holding burning torches, during traditional night jump from the Old Mostar Bridge, in Mostar, 140 kms south of Bosnian capital of Sarajevo, Sunday. A total of 41 divers from Bosnia and neighboring countries competed diving from the 25 meter (82 feet) high Old Mostar Bridge into the Neretva River.

GREECE – Desolation: A helicopter operates over Kalyvia area some 30 kilometers (18 miles) south of Athens. Dozens of firefighters, assisted by five water-dropping helicopters are battling a large brush fire south of Athens, but Greek authorities say no inhabited areas are in immediate danger.
