Brooklyn GOP fields candidate for Borough President
Nightlife Impresario Vito Bruno is the Only Republican Challenging Eric Adams for BP
Brooklyn Republican Party Chairman Ted Ghorra and Executive Committee Members have endorsed Vito Bruno for Brooklyn borough president. In an effort for Brooklyn to remain a two-party system, the GOP has joined together to support its lone candidate for BP.
Ghorra told the Brooklyn Eagle, “Endorsing Vito Bruno as our Brooklyn borough president candidate was an exceedingly easy thing to do. Vito is a dedicated, hard-working, focused and energetic individual who brings decency, common sense and passion for all things Brooklyn to the table, which is what we need at this time. I urge everyone to support him as well.”
The entertainment impresario is a successful a businessman, legendary promoter and long-time Brooklynite. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and Pratt Institute School of Architecture. Bruno joined the prestigious Marcel Breuer architectural firm and later moved to Hilton International as in house design and planner for hotel developments around the world.
Bruno, a renowned music industry veteran, played a key role during the ’70s disco era. He started his career at 2001 Odyssey, the Brooklyn club made famous in the John Travolta classic “Saturday Night Fever,” which was filmed primarily in Bay Ridge.
