Haitian immigrant gets nine years for robbing Mill Basin pharmacy, expects deportation
A 24-year-old Haitian immigrant was sentenced to nine years in prison Friday and is expected to be deported for his role in the robbery of a pharmacy on Avenue U in Mill Basin.
Wenbsby Paul, or Wensley Paul in court records, sat with his eyes partially closed and his head down as Judge Dora Irizarry handed him his sentence in Brooklyn federal court.
“What’s troubling here is the fact…you’ve had a relatively good life,” Irizarry told Paul as his family watched from the back of the courtroom.
