Williamsburg’s North Sixth Street becomes trendy retail destination
North Sixth Street in Williamsburg, which intersects with Kent Avenue and the neighborhood East River ferry stop, has become a lively commercial street and a favorite for retailers making inroads in Brooklyn.
During the past year, North Sixth Street has transformed from a rundown graffiti-covered street to a lively thoroughfare dotted with shops ranging from Rituals to Urban Outfitters, Robin Abrams of Compass told the New York Post.
The street is thriving despite a soft retail market. “There is a diverse mix of tenants, food, e-commerce, fitness, restaurants, traditional high-end goods and banks,” Cushman & Wakefield’s Steven Soutendijk told the Post.
