Late last week, Park Slope residents noticed a new fixture on their neighborhood sidewalk: a statuette of Donald Trump resting on top of a patch of astroturf, with a bright yellow sticker reading, “pee on me.”

The statuette, rising to just about the height of a dog’s genitals, is the brainchild of Phil Gable of Porcupine Armadillo, a brand content studio. Gable told Gothamist that the bust was “partly a public service,” a creation to aid potty-training (he sprayed the figure with a dog potty-training aid mixture to maximize appeal) while simultaneously acting as “a personal expression of [his] own disdain for Donald Trump.”

A woman and her daughter who passed by as Gable was setting up the small display took pictures with the bust, thanking Gable and saying, “This is the kind of thing that makes me love Brooklyn.”

“I know this isn’t a grand gesture of protest,” Gable said to Gothamist. “But everybody has their own way of dealing with things.”

As of Friday night, the Park Slope statuette on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Union Street was the only one of its kind, but Gable said that the positive reaction has inspired him to head out with a new batch of busts.

These new ones will be “physically secured into place,” he told Gothamist.
