Coney Island man arrested for killing man inside a bodega

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for shooting a 28-year-old man after an argument, police said.

Carlos Lysius, a resident Coney Island, and Khadeem Anderson, a resident Crown Heights, got into a verbal altercation around 5 a.m. inside 412 Utica Ave. on July 5 before shots were fired.

Lysius was allegedly seen on the grocery store’s surveillance video exiting the store with a cigarette in his mouth and pulling a firearm out of his pants.

The armed man then walked back into the store and shot Anderson in the head, police said.

The Crown Heights man, who lived three blocks away, was pronounced dead at the crime scene, police said.

Lysius was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
