Michelin, the well-known international dining guide, has released its 2018 “Bib Gourmand” list, featuring restaurants that serve high-quality food with prices that make it possible to order two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less.

Four of these restaurants are located in Bushwick or Ridgewood, according to Bushwick Daily. They are:

  • Houdini Kitchen Laboratory, 1563 Decatur St., Ridgewood. Just as famed magician Harry Houdini had the power to make the impossible seem commonplace, the restaurant says it has the power to make its dishes seem sublime. Michelin honored Houdini Kitchen Laboratory in recognition of its pizzas made in a wood-burning oven and fresh pastas, such as spinach-and-ricotta ravioli.

  • Roberta’s, 261 Moore St., Bushwick. Roberta’s was recognized for its unusual pizzas, such as the Bee Sting, topped with honey, soppressata and chili. Roberta’s also has a bar and bakery.

  • Falansai, 112 Harrison Place, Bushwick. Like its chef, Henry Trieu, who grew up in Vietnam with Chinese parents, Falanasia is influenced by Vietnamese, Chinese and French cuisine. Its menu include many types of pho, banh mi sandwiches, brunch and seasonal specialties.

  • Bunker, 99 Scott Ave., Bushwick. It also specializes in Vietnamese food. Bushwick Daily says it’s “always packed thanks to their great drinks and addictive banh mi.”
