The band used their songs and the screened clips to tell the story of Post-Apocalypto. The band was often nude in the animated scenes, which occasionally featured simulated sex.

The narrative of the album revolves around a post-apocalyptic world where the band finds — and quickly loses — a dog named Hope, Jack Black briefly space travels and eventually both bandmembers do battle with teams of Nazis, Ku Klux Klan members and Donald Trump Jr. on their quest to find the Crystal of Gilgamesh, an ancient artifact that will save the world.

While never being explicitly political at any point in the show, Jack Black ended the apocalyptic rock opera by telling the audience to vote, in a rare uncoded message.

The show continued as the band played on for another 45-minute set of their “greatest hits” in reverse chronological order, including “Kickapoo,” “Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown),” “Kielbasa” and “Tribute.” They ended the night by playing fan-favorite “F–k Her Gently” as an encore.
