Swern, Epstein and Barry nominated for Brooklyn Civil Court seats
Following a meeting of the Kings County Democratic Party at Kingsborough College on Thursday night, three Democratic judicial candidates have been added to the ballot for Brooklyn Civil Court in November’s election.
Anne Swern, Jill Epstein and Rupert Barry were nominated. As of Friday, there were no Republican or independent nominees to oppose any of the trio.
Swern, an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School, ran for Brooklyn District Attorney and came in second place to Eric Gonzalez in a pool of five candidates. Prior to running last year, Swern worked for two years as managing counsel at Brooklyn Defender Services and for nearly 34 years as an assistant district attorney.
