On Tuesday, September 25, hundreds are expected to gather at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Dinner of Champions Annual Gala.

The Dinner of Champions is the Society’s premier gala event that pays tribute to the vast network of generous corporations, organizations and volunteer leaders who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people living with MS.

“We are so pleased to host this evening which brings us together to celebrate dedicated organizations and individuals who are supporting the Society’s critical research initiatives to find a cure,” says Robin Einbinder, National MS Society, NYC-SNY and Long Island, president.

One of the honorees will be Brooklyn Nets rising-star Caris LeVert.

LeVert will receive the Spirit Award which recognizes his ability to inspire hope through resilience, perseverance and dedication to the Society’s mission.

Born and raised in Pickerington, Ohio, LeVert attended the University of Michigan. He earned multiple accolades during his high school and college basketball career. His NBA career began when he was selected as the 20th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers and then dealt to the Brooklyn Nets. He is heading into his third year with the team coming off an impressive 2017-18 campaign.

Off the court, LeVert is deeply passionate about the fight against multiple sclerosis as his mother lives with the disease.

“Through my mother’s experience with MS, I have seen firsthand that those living with the disease are true heroes,” says LeVert. “She inspires me every single day. I’m just happy to be able to support her and others living with MS through the platform I’ve been given.”

In April, LeVert formed a team of family and friends for Walk MS New York City where his mother joined him on stage as he gave an impassioned speech, before the 4,000+ walkers, about her life with MS and his hope that one day our world will be free of it.

Fortunately last year, I learnt about Mayaka Natural Clinic (ww w. mayakanaturalclinic. c om) and their effective MS Formula treatment through an MS support group on facebook the Multiple Sclerosis treatment made a great difference, most of my symptoms including balance, weakness, falling alot and others gradually disappeared. I improved greatly over the 4 months treatment, its been a year since the treatment, i have no symptoms. I have a very good quality of life and a great family!
