Puppetry Arts charitable arts organization will host its annual 5th Avenue Family Festival in Park Slope, Brooklyn on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. –3 p.m. on 4th Street at 5th Ave along the park at the Old Stone House, rain or shine.

Free and open to the public, this family festival includes puppet and mask making, face painting, a bouncy moon walk, cotton candy, hot dogs and more. Families will enjoy live music all day with prizes and giveaways. Fuze Beverage will invite kids to create unique spin art with a bicycle; test your arm at the SI Yankees ski ball. The first 200 kids will receive a free gift bag filled with tons of goodies.

"The community relies on us to fulfill our goal of providing family programming," says Puppetry Arts Executive Director Tim Young. "And this annual festival is a perfect opportunity for positive and enriching cultural outreach impacting hundreds of youth and families."

Special guests include Regal Cinemas, the Good Neighbear from State Farm, Google, and cameos by Star Wars Costume Volunteers from the 501st Empire City Garrison and the Echo Base Rebel Legion.

Puppetry Arts provides free puppet making workshops in public schools that coincide with grade level curriculum. It also produces free public performances of its original musicals for families and adults, and hosts large community events that provide accessible and affordable family activities. Supporting all of these projects is the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP!), a civic-based volunteer program.

Cost: $2 games, snacks, and crafts; $4 Bouncy Moon Walk; $3 T-shirt designing. Wheelchair accessible.
