A group of New York non-profits — one of which is the Brooklyn Museum — can receive a total of $100 million from the late Brooke Astor’s estate now that a long-running dispute over her will has been resolved, according to the New York Post. The philanthropist died in 2007 at age 105. Other institutions that stand to gain from Astor’s largesse are the Metropolitan Museum, the New York Public Library, the city’s public schools, Carnegie Hall, the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Morgan Library and NYU.
