Awards and accolades given at 84th Precinct community council meeting

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the 84th Precinct Community Council at the precinct house on Gold Street, P.O. Donavan Hunt was named Cop of the Month. Leslie Lewis, Community Council president, reports that “the perp was easy to catch, as his falling pants hobbled him in the chase. “ Seen here are Lewis, Crystal DeJesus, P.O. Hunt and Commanding Officer Maximo Tolentino.

Also, Newly promoted Detective Sal Ferrante was honored at Tuesday’s 84th Precinct Community Council meeting for catching cell a cell phone thief near Congregation Mount Sinai on Cadman Plaza West. Seen here are Lewis, Detective Ferrante, Councilman Steve Levin, Commanding Officer Maximo Tolentino and the synagogue’s Rabbi Joseph Potasnik.
