Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, an all-volunteer group that rescues adoptable dogs from high kill pounds in the rural south, will be throwing a block party on Sunday, May 5th.  The event will take place on President Street between 3rd Ave and Nevins from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature Brooklyn food,  beer, wine and retail vendors, musicians and, of course, dogs.

The party’s food vendors include Brooklyn Bangers, Steel Carts and Melt Bakery, among others, as well as beer from PBR and Radeberger. There will also be a raffle that includes goods and services from High Horse Salon, Lady J Jewelry, McClure’s Pickles and Mighty Balls, among other local businesses. Advance tickets are available at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/6224691219.

The Badass volunteer group rescues dogs from high kill pounds in the rural south, rehabilitates them and places them in the best forever homes in the New York area. Since the organization’s inception in 2011, they have made a huge impact, placing over 800 dogs into welcoming homes.
