Bay Ridge cops aggressively investigating mystery ‘abduction’
68 Pct. head says lack of force doesn’t mean there’s no crime
Police in Bay Ridge have a Christmas mystery on their hands.
Two days after the New York Police Department (NYPD) put out word that cops were investigating the possible abduction of a teenage boy on a Bay Ridge street, there was no sign of the boy or the alleged kidnapper. There was also no ransom demand issued or any witnesses coming forward to tell what they know.
Dep. Insp. Richard DiBlasio, commanding officer of the 68th Precinct, the precinct that covers Bay Ridge, said his cops are “aggressively investigating” the Dec. 22 incident. The NYPD, which issued a bulletin on Christmas eve day, is looking for the public’s help in solving the case.
