SL Green Realty Corp. reports that Blumberg-Excelsior will be relocating its corporate headquarters from 62 White St. in Manhattan to 16 Court St. in Downtown Brooklyn, a building owned by SL Green.

BlumbergExcelsior has signed a five year-plus lease for the entire 14th floor, or 12,420 square feet, and will make the move there in the first quarter of 2013.

The leasing team from Ingram & Hebron Realty, comprised of Robert Hebron, Robert Hebron IV and Paula Ingram, represented both the tenant and SL Green. Ingram & Hebron is the exclusive leasing agent for 16 Court.

Founded in 1887, BlumbergExcelsior is a leading supplier of specialized law products, like seal certificates, legal business forms and software, according to both SL Green and Ingram & Hebron.

“After well over a century of doing business in Manhattan’s Lower East Side and Tribeca neighborhoods, company president and CEO Bob Blumberg decided it was time to move the company headquarters to Brooklyn,” said Hebron.

Said Blumberg of Robert Hebron’s “fortitude, patience and acumen” in handling the transaction, “We are pleased with the end result and look forward to our tenancy at this historic location.”

The building features 300,000 square feet of office space on 36 floors. Spaces currently available range from 900 to over 13,000 square feet.

“Economics, breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and better operating efficiencies gained by being located on one floor drove Blumberg’s decision to relocate to Brooklyn,” said Steven Durels, SL Green’s director of leasing and real property.
