Brooklyn Bicyclist’s Family Sues NYPD
NEW YORK (AP) — The family of a Canadian man struck and killed by a truck while riding his bike in Brooklyn has sued the NYPD to release the accident records.
The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan by the parents of Mathieu Lefevre. It claims the police improperly denied their request for records under the state’s Freedom of Information Law.
According to the lawsuit, the NYPD said it could not release the evidence because the investigation was continuing.
