St. John's Bread and Life, a charity located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is hosting a dine-out event to assist their goal of combating hunger. "30 is Enough: Dine Out to End Hunger" is an event in which participating restaurants agree to donate a percentage of each paid meal with the proceeds going to Bread and Life.
Judge Sylvia Hinds-Radix, current administrative judge for Brooklyn Supreme Court, Civil Term, and recent Appellate Division appointee, sits on the board of directors at Bread and Life.
"We have a very active board," said Judge Hinds-Radix. "We do our best to get involved in the community and create innovative ways to assist Bread & Life in obtaining monies to provide food and legal services for those most in need."
Bread & Life serves over 600,000 meals annually to those who would otherwise go hungry and is hoping to raise $50,000 through the '30 is Enough' event.
