A gun buyback program sponsored by the NYPD and Brooklyn District Attorney’s office has netted 113 weapons including an assault rifle.

The buyback was held Saturday at a church in Brooklyn. Police say 56 revolvers, 34 semi-automatic pistols and three shotguns were recovered, along with BB guns and eight rifles. One of the pistols contained a high-capacity magazine.

Police say since the program’s inception there have been more than 8,100 firearms recovered.
