Brooklyn judges reach out to the community

Judges of Brooklyn’s Civil, Criminal, Family, and Housing Courts met members of the Brooklyn community yesterday at the St. Gabriel’s Senior Center on Hawthorne Street, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

At the informational session, the audience was provided with information on how to navigate the New York State Court System. Judicial panelists included Acting Supreme Court Justices Genine Edwards, Wavny Toussaint and Desmond Green. Also present were Civil Court Judges Harriet Thompson and Evelyn LaPorte.

The discussion and subsequent question-and-answer session was hosted by New York State Assemblyman Karim Camara, New York State Senator Eric Adams and District Leaders Jesse Hamilton III and Shirley Patterson
