BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — A 22-year-old Brooklyn man has been found guilty in the fatal shooting of a Binghamton man during a robbery at the victim’s apartment in 2010.
Binghamton media outlets report that a Broome County jury convicted Isaiah Jeremiah last week of first- and second-degree murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors say Jeremiah shot and killed 22-year-old Stephen Mayo during a robbery Oct. 5, 2010, at Mayo’s Binghamton apartment. Investigators said Mayo died of a single gunshot wound.
Jeremiah faces 20 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced June 28.
