Good morning. Today is the 223rd day of the year. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle of Aug. 10, 1901, tells us that the Bush Construction Company was in the process of buying up land on the Sunset Park Waterfront between 41st and 51st streets. That land later became the Bush Terminal industrial development.

Well-known people who were born today include flautist/singer Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Brooklyn-born boxer Riddick Bowe, actress Angie Harmon (“Law & Order”) and fashion designer Betsy Johnson.
