Good morning. Today is the 356th day of the year. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle of Dec. 21, 1854 reported on efforts by the City of Brooklyn to buy the Water Works Company of the City of Williamsburg, with which it would soon merge. At that time, Brooklyn looked to streams in Long Island as the source of its water, but the access to many of these streams was controlled by Williamsburg.

He learned about the disaster loans when he attended an information meeting of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
