Good morning. Today is the 205th day of the year. The Brooklyn Eagle of July 23, 1954, displayed a picture of 18-month-old Anthony Castaldo standing under a hydrant. That’s how Brooklynites used to beat the heat, by opening a fire hydrant, then running when the cops arrived.

Well-known people who were born today include radio personality Don Imus, journalist Nicholas Gage, actress Gloria DeHaven (“Two Girls and a Sailor”), Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and actor Marlon Wayans (“In Living Color”).
